Alumni
Get Involved
We are resource for you throughout your career as an educator. No matter where you go in life, the IU School of Education is your connection to an alumni network of nearly 70,000 education graduates. There are many ways for you to get involved:
- Become a member of the IU Alumni Association. Your membership dues include a subscription to Chalkboard magazine as well as the Indiana University Alumni Magazine.
- Be on the lookout for students who have the potential to be great educators, and tell us about them.
- Mentor our current students. Our students benefit greatly from hearing from and working with experienced educators, and our field experiences and mentoring programs help prepare our students to start making a difference as educators from the first day on the job.
- Attend IU alumni events on the Bloomington campus or in your community.
- Connect with an IU Alumni Association (IUAA) chapter. There are IUAA chapters all over the United States and the world. It’s a great way to meet people who can really help you when you move to a new community and get your start as an educator there, or to take an active role in welcoming new IU School of Education graduates to your community.
