Location

Eigenmann Hall and Elementary Schools through central and southern Indiana

Description

This position provides support for the Iterative Model Building (IMB) project in math and science education.

Responsibilities

Duties include traveling to elementary schools, observing elementary student teachers teaching math and science lessons following IMB project protocols, collecting observation data, completing observation protocols and reports, and reconciling collected data with other observers.

Qualifications

Preferred applicants should be admitted to a doctoral program in the School of Education. The ideal candidate will have a background in the study of mathematics and/or science education as well as experience teaching in either K-12 or high education. Master’s candidates with relevant teaching experience may be considered. Excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to meet deadlines, and familiarity with data collection and analysis procedures preferred.

Schedule

Flexible schedule; must be able to commit to at least one six hour time block during school hours each week. Hours will vary by week, based on need.
