STUDENT TEACHING REGISTRATION FOR FALL 2011

NOTE:Students in the Cultural Immersion Program or CoT program: Contact those departments for information about what courses and section numbers to register for. Do NOT register for the sections listed below.

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION:

  • Doing Elementary student teaching: E451, P450, M424
    • Register for EDUC-BE 424, 6811
  • Doing Pre School and Kindergarten student teaching:
    • Register for EDUC-BE 450, 6708

ELEMENTARY EDUCATION:

  • Register for EDUC-M 425, 2492 for 13 credit hours AND EDUC-M 420, 2490 for 2 credit hours

***NOTE: You MUST register for 13 credit hours (units) of M425 or the system will default to 8 units. Check your registration before leaving the system to make sure you have 13 units of M425.

ELEMENTARY WITH LICENSE ADDITION:

  • Register for EDUC-M 425, 2492 for 10 credit hours AND EDUC-M 420, 2490 for 2 credit hours AND the appropriate practicum*

*LICENSE ADDITION PRACTICUM:

  • ENL license addition: EDUC - M 470, 2499
  • READING license addition: EDUC - X 425, 7353

TAL

  • No one is scheduled to student teach in Fall, 2011 in the TAL program

SECONDARY EDUCATION:

**(Note: If you are a World Language major getting all-grade certification, see below)

  • Register for EDUC-M 480, 2506 for 12 credit hours AND EDUC-M 420, 7351 for 1 credit hour

SECONDARY EDUCATION LICENSING ADDITION:

  • Register for EDUC-M 480, 2506 for 10 credit hours AND EDUC-M 420, 7351 for 1 credit hour AND the appropriate practicum*

*LICENSE ADDITION PRACTICUM:

  • ENL license addition: EDUC - M 470, 2499
  • READING license addition: EDUC - X 425, 7353

MUSIC EDUCATION:

  • Register for EDUC-M 482, 2508 for the number of hours required in your program.

VISUAL ARTS EDUCATION:

  • Register for EDUC-M 482, 2508 for 12 units (credit hours) AND for EDUC-M 420, 7351 for 1 unit (credit hour).

**WORLD LANGUAGE EDUCATION:

  • Register for EDUC-M 482, 2508 for 12 credit hours and EDUC-M 420, 7351 for 1 credit hour. (This is for students getting certification in all grade World Language. If you are getting World Language certification at the secondary level only, see above under Secondary Education).

PHYSICAL EDUCATION:

  • Register for EDUC-BP 480, 8771

GRADUATE LEVEL STUDENT TEACHERS:

  • SLIS: M550, 2527 for the number of required hours
