Course Description: Explore research related to the very nature of science itself through readings, discussions, and topics related to preK-12 student and teacher education in various science content areas. Explore a variety of topics related to nature of science, including teacher development, improving teacher and student views, characteristics of learners that contribute to or hinder their acquisition of  adequate views, views of nature of science recommended in state and national reform documents vs. those discussed in the scientific community, ways to improve the teaching of nature of science preK-12 and beyond, and others that may arise during the course discussions.
