ABOUT ME

I am currently the Associate Dean for Research in the School of Education where I work with faculty and staff to support the research and development activities of the school.  In my faculty role as Professor of Science Education, I work with students who are planning to become secondary school science teachers and do research and development on new ways to teach science. My research focus is the use of new technologies and aspects of the learning sciences to improve science instruction.  I have been a faculty member at the IU School of Education since 2006 with previous faculty/administrative positions at the National Science Foundation, Vanderbilt University and New York University.
