I am Paula Elmer Lahann, a doctoral student in Mathematics Education. My undergraduate work and masters level work was done at Oklahoma State University. After a couple of decades of teaching mathematics at the high school level in Oklahoma, I moved to Texas where I helped open a new high school in a suburb of Houston. Here I served as the mathematics chair as well as full time teacher.
I love teaching, especially secondary mathematics, but after moving to Bloomington, I decided to change my career direction and become a student again. I am currently focusing my studies on the education of future mathematics teachers and teaching undergraduate classes in the mathematics education department at IU.
