Prof. Molenda has been retired from teaching since 2005, but he continues to be active in the field of educational technology. 

During 2004-2007 he was deeply involved in the writing and editing of the book published in October 2007, Educational Technology: A Definition with Commentary.  He also contributed the opening chapter, "Historical Foundations" to The Handbook of Research on Educational Communications and Technology, 3rd edition. 

He has also been involved in several other projects related to historical aspects of the field and its intellectual foundations, and other publications are expected from these projects.
