My name is Daniel Maxwell and my home state is Indiana. I hope to return to my original home state of Massachusetts near the conclusion to my career. I received my Bachelors of Science from Syracuse University and my Masters of Science in Education from the University of Miami. I began the doctoral program in the fall 2008 and I am going part-time. My intent is to finish my course work within the next 5 - 6 years.
My career has provided opportunities to work in Residence Life, Greek Life, Student Activities, and College Unions. I have, also, served as the conference chair for the Association of Fraternity Advisors and as the President of the Association of College Union International.
I have utilized “The Principles for Community on College Campuses” as noted in the 1990 publication Campus Life: In Search of Community by Ernest Boyer in numerous presentations. My research interest is specifically to explore and test how community can be developed, enhanced and measured on both an urban campus in comparison to a residential campus.
