I retired in May 2008, but am still involved with many of the activities of the Mathematics Education Program. Before I retired, I taught mathematics pedagogy courses for prospective elementary and middle grades teachers and also research design courses for graduate students in Curriculum & Instruction. My research interests involve the study of the development of students' problem-solving ability.
