I try to innovatively teach instructional systems technology courses (many via distance education--Web and videoconferencing), do research on collaborative educational technologies, and promote a more learner-centered approach to instruction. I am a former accountant and CPA and educational psychologist. Now in my third career (I guess), I moved from educational psychology to the IST department in July 2005 after serving in ed psych for 13 years. I am also adjunct in the School of Informatics. I think learning should be an adventure and I am often the tour guide or expedition leader. I have done more than 800 talks around the world for college faculty, corporate trainers, and K-12 teachers on how to teach on the Web (see TrainingShare.com).
