IU Math Ed Alumna, Fran Arbaugh, wins a prestigious award

IU Math Ed graduate, Fran Arbaugh, an assistant professor of Mathematics Education at the University of Missouri, has been awarded the 2007 Kemper Fellowship for Teaching Excellence by the University of Missouri. Fran earned her Ph.D. in Mathematics Education at IU in 2000.

The Chancellor of the University of Missouri, and a group of professors, administrators, and staff paid a surprise visit to Fran’s classroom to honor her with the Fellowship, which includes a $10,000 award. Fellowships are awarded to five outstanding teachers at the University of Missouri-Columbia each year.

Congratulations, Fran! We are all proud of you.
