Frank Lester Appointed to the Rank of Indiana University Chancellor's Professor
Professor Frank K. Lester Jr. has been appointed to the rank of Indiana University Chancellor’s Professor. This professorship is meant to bring significant honor to members of the faculty who have achieved local, national, and international distinction in both teaching and research activity and their interaction. Frank will carry this title for the remaining of his career at Indiana University.
Frank has been involved in an endless list of mathematics and teacher education activities throughout his career including a term as editor of the Journal for Research in Mathematics Education and a term as Armstrong Professor of Teacher Education. In addition, Frank has served on the Board of Directors of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and is the editor of the Handbook of Research on Mathematics Teaching and Learning that will be available in the fall.
