I am responsible for recruitment and retention initiatives in the School of Education. To that end, I share the breadth and wealth of the School's various education programs with prospective undergraduate and graduate students from diverse cultural and experiential backgrounds.

As the Office Manager for IST, I assist students, faculty and staff in the graduate programs and respond to their needs, and concerns in every way I can.

  • Multicultural Education Student Association (MESA): The mission of this association (formerly the Minority Education Association or MEA) is to form supportive alliances between underrepresented graduate and undergraduate students within the School of Education, towards the goals of the professional development of all members; community activism; generating relevant research; the recruitment and retention of minority students, to serve as a clearing house for educational opportunities;, and develop collaborative relationships with other organizations.

  • International Graduate Student Association (IGSA): IGSA is an organization that offers support to international students in the School of Education to enrich their academic and social life.

  • Graduate Women Educators Network (GWEN): The mission of the Graduate Women Educators Network is to build community within the School of Education. GWEN encourages participation from ALL graduate students and faculty, MALE and FEMALE, committed to investigating and discussing issues impacting women in education.
  • Goodwill Ambassadors: These are a group of students at Indiana University who want to be of help to you by answering any questions you may have about the School of Education and our academic programs. They will try to assist you in any way they can, answer questions, address your concerns, and form new friendships.

  • Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Community : Ever wonder how gay, lesbian, bisexual,and transgender issues fit into the diversity puzzle? Are these issues part of YOUR identity? The GLBT office on campus provides support and information and is just a great place to stop by and visit. The address is 705 E. Seventh St. if you want to have a reality tour.   • Disability Services for Students
    Disability Services for Students(DSS) provides a welcoming and supportive environment for students with disabilities at Indiana University Bloomington and ensures they have equal access to all available opportunities. DSS coordinates the implementation of support services, empowers students to achieve their personal and academic goals, and promotes awareness by educating the university community. Our guiding principles include a firm belief that all students provide a valuable contribution to the diversity of IU, that all students must be treated with dignity and respect, and that all students have the right to self determination and to be fully informed of their options.
