APPLICATION
Q: How do I apply to the Educational Leadership program?
A: IUB applications can be found HERE. IUPUI applications can be found HERE. Should you have application questions or need to check the status of your application, you may contact the Graduate Studies Office at educate@indiana.edu or 812.856.8504 (IUB applicants) or dmdillon@iupui.edu or 317.274.0645 (IUPUI applicants).
TUITION
Q: What is the cost per credit hour?
A: Rates change each year starting in the fall semester. See the office of the Bursar's website HERE.
PLEASE NOTE: All students registered through the Indiana University Bloomington campus must check the status of their bill each semester HERE and under the Bursar channel choose "View My E-bill". Paper bills are no longer mailed for classes through Indiana University Bloomington courses.
ELECTRONIC NETWORKING
Each student will be expected to have access to a computer and modem so that the faculty and students can be a part of a computer network. In addition, each student must obtain an Indiana University e-mail account to receive pertinent information from Indiana University. All course registration is done using an Indiana University e-mail account.
REGISTRATION
Q: How do I register for classes?
A: Registration is done online. Please click HERE to register. Detailed registration instructions can be found HERE . If you are registering for a Bloomington course but were not enrolled through Bloomington during the current semester, you will need to be term activated to register. Please call 812.856.8504 or e-mail educate@indiana.edu. Remember to include your new 10 digit student ID, your program area, and whether you are a certification or a degree-seeking student. For an IUB student to register at IUPUI, you will need to be term activated. Please call the IUPUI Registrar's Office at 317.274.1508. Some courses require department consent or authorization. When requesting authorization for a class, please give your 10-digit student ID.
Q: Who do I contact if I have registration problems?
A: If you are trying to register for an IUPUI class, please call 317.274.1508 for help. For an IUB class, please call 812.855.8200.
Q: Where can I find a schedule of classes?
A: A schedule of classes for all campuses can be found at OneStart.
Q: When can I register?
A: You must be admitted into the Educational Leadership Graduate Program to take Educational Leadership courses. Typically, the schedule for fall and summer is posted in February. The spring schedule is posted in September. Be sure to check the schedule during these months to help ensure a spot in the class. It is important to check your appointed registration time at OneStart , as there is a late fee if you register after your assigned registration appointment.

GRADUATION/APPLYING FOR LICENSE
Q: When do I apply for graduation?
A: At least six months prior to graduation, all degree-seeking students admitted to IUB must complete the graduation application found HERE. Please see specific application deadlines posted on the site. Students admitted to the master's program through IUB must sign and complete their 36 Hour Program Outline and turn it into the Educational Leadership program.
Students in the master's program admitted through IUPUI must apply HERE for graduation prior to their last semester in addition to completing the 36 Hour Program Outline.
All certification and master's students must apply for a license. Students admitted through IUPUI should contact Dee Outlaw when ready to apply for licensure. IUB students should contact Sharon Vance when ready to apply for licensure. To receive the K-12 building administration license or the school superintendent license, individuals who do not hold a current administrative license and complete these programs are also required to achieve a qualifying score on the ETS School Leaders Licensure Assessment (see ETS webpage ).
GENERAL QUESTIONS
Q: I took classes from another university. How do I find out if any of my classes will count for the Educational Leadership classes?
A: Please contact the Educational Leadership office (812.856.8371 or cwedemey@indiana.edu) for a complete list of approved courses. Other courses can be assessed by current Indiana University faculty who teach comparable courses. All transfer courses must be at least a 'B' letter grade in order to count. Certification students are permitted to transfer six credit hours from another university. Students in the master's program are permitted to transfer nine credit hours from another university that have been taken within the past seven years. The university must be accredited. The remaining courses must be taken at the IUB or IUPUI campuses.

NOTE It is highly recommended that degree seeking students admitted through the IUB campus subscribe to the Graduate Studies listserv for information on graduation, registration, dissertation information and more. To do this, send your request to Listserv@indiana.edu and type Subscribe graduate-studies-l in the message.
