Scholarships in Art Education

  • The Della Fricke Art Teaching Scholarship: provides funding for undergraduate and graduate students wishing to teach art. Della Fricke scholarship recipients are chosen by Art Education faculty from the School of Education and Fine Arts faculty from the School of Fine Arts. Deadline for application is January 31.
  • The Lowell Scholarship Art Education Program: All Art Education certification, master's, and doctoral students in the IU School of Education are eligible to apply for this scholarship upon submitting a brief, one page explanation of their need for funding or to attend a national conference and a brief, one page statement about their philosophy of art teaching. Lowell Scholarship recipients are selected by a committee of all members of the Art Education faculty. Need for funding and the philosophy of teaching statement will be criteria used to award funds. Deadline for application is January 31.
