All School Settings Program
There are four all grades/all school settings teacher certification programs offered at Indiana University Bloomington, Music , Physical Education,Visual Arts and World Language. Each of the programs prepares teacher candidates as content field generalists to teach students who range from early and middle childhood, early and late adolescence, and young adulthood. Candidates from these programs can teach students in any setting ranging from Kindergarten through 12th grade in their chosen content field.
Music Education:
The Music Program is designed and managed by the School of Music to provide instruction in both instrumental and choral music. All advising is conducted by the Music Program.
Physical Education:
The School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) prepares teacher candidates for the Physical Education Program. HPER faculty and staff advise students interested in the program.
Visual Arts Education:
The Visual Arts program prepares candidates to teach art to students in all school settings, grades K-12. The four year program concentrates on developing instructional techniques in a variety of media. The program consists of a combination of academic and studio based course work and field experiences with a variety of students and school settings.
